Article Directory :: Self-Improvement/Motivation Articles I don't know what it is in drugs that many people are tempted of using it. Possibly because they are curious of what would be its taste and what would be the feeling of using it. For this reason many people are addicted to it. Addiction is a complex disorder characterized by compulsive drug use. While each drug produces different physical effects, all abused substances share one thing in common: repeated use can alter the way the brain looks and functions. When we say drug, it is something often known as an illegal substance that causes addiction, habituation, or a marked change in consciousness. Drug abuse is a serious public health problem that affects almost every community and family in some way. In short, it can ruin your whole life. So there is a need for recovery from drug abuse for those people who are dwelling into it. As a warning, these are the commonly abused drugs: ? Anabolic steroids ? Club drugs ? Cocaine ? Heroin ? Inhalants ? Prescription drugs ? Amphetamines Drug abuse can also lead to crime and missed work because you don't know your actions once you have been addicted to it. Some people said that they feel good once they use drugs. Sometimes people are tempted to try drugs because they wanted to escape from painful and stressful situation of their lives. They will temporarily feel good and forget what they are going through. Once a drug user realized that they want to change and stop using drugs, they need support and help for drug abuse. They need assistance and someone to lean on in times of their difficulties. In times like this, it is a big challenge to a drug user to avoid using drugs. It is not that easy to make a change. It takes time and effort to do it. A drug user must be patient and dedicated enough to make a change. All they need is a family member and friend that would help him/her recover and one key to it is to change the way they are living. One important thing also is to pray that God may guide you to change the way you are living. That would be a great help to change for yourself together with your loved ones and to our God Almighty.
